That’s the question at the heart of a lawsuit filed recently by the Montgomery, Alabama-based law firm Beasley Allen.

The standard for what constitutes beef as defined by the USDA is pretty straightforward: “flesh of animals.” In the “Food Facts” section of its website, Taco Bell says the following about its beef: “Our taco meat is made from USDA-inspected beef and is subjected to quality check points. It tastes great because it’s simmered in 12 authentic seasonings and spices and is never frozen. Moreover, our taco meat is leaner than what you’ll find in a restaurant-cooked hamburger because of the unique way that we prepare our taco meat and remove fat.” But Beasley Allen contends that the company’s claims are untrue.  (Read  More).

Also nominated for best picture Tuesday were the psychosexual thriller “Black Swan“; the boxing drama “The Fighter“; the sci-fi blockbuster “Inception“; the lesbian-family tale “The Kids Are All Right“; the survival story “127 Hours“; the Facebook chronicle “The Social Network“; the animated smash “Toy Story 3“; the Western “True Grit“; and the Ozarks crime thriller “Winter’s Bone.”

“True Grit” ran second with 10 nominations, including acting honors for Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld.

The Feb. 27 Oscars set up a best-picture showdown between two favorites, “The King’s Speech” and “The Social Network.” “The Social Network” won best drama at the Golden Globes and was picked as the year’s best by key critics groups, while “The King’s Speech” pulled an upset last weekend by winning the Producers Guild of America Awards top prize, whose recipient often goes to claim best picture at the Oscars.

The favorites in the male-acting categories both were nominated, Globe winners Firth as best actor for “The King’s Speech” and Christian Bale as supporting actor for “The Fighter.”  (Read More).

Flavor Flav’s restaurant opened to a sizable crowd on Monday!

The proud new restaurant owner stated he’d gotten the idea to open up a fried chicken joint of his own after he fried up some good ol’ delicious chicken for Peter Cimino, a Las Vegas restaurateur. Cimino started selling Flavor Flav’s chicken wings at his restaurant and later Peter’s brother, Nick, helped Flavor by acquiring an empty building in Iowa for Flav to build up his own fried chicken joint. That building was located next to Nick’s own restaurant.

Flavor Flav has vowed to occasionally come into his Iowa restaurant to season and cook his chicken before serving it to his customers! Flav stated he’s not afraid of KFC. Perhaps KFC should now be afraid of him! It’s really rare to see a celebrity so hands own when it come to a venture such as a restaurant. However, let’s face it, it’s not like Flavor has much else of anything going on.  (Read More).

Are you planning to watch Paris Hilton’s infamous sex tape from 2004 without paying for it?

According to multiple reports, the company who owns the rights to “1 Night in Paris” has filed a lawsuit against 843 people who decided to snag the video — which featured the upcoming Oxygen reality star with then-boyfriend Rick Saloman — by unauthorized means. All of these offenders were those who tried to watch the video within the past year.

Hilton’s sex tape to many started a precedent in which people could become famous thanks to X-rated content. Kim Kardashian infamously had a tape with Ray J, and this “phenonmenon” also recently claimed a new alum in Kendra Wilkinson.

Do you really think this tape merits so much attention (and even lawsuits) nearly seven years later?  (Read More).�

Favre’s season was off to a rocky start even before reports of his alleged hobby began making the rounds. He showed up late nursing a bum ankle and the tendinitis in his right elbow flared up soon afterward. Then the losses started piling up.

Counting Monday’s night’s beating by the Jets at the Meadowlands, Favre was lugging around a quarterback rating that is lower than any he’s posted for a full season in his 20-year career, and he’s already thrown as many interceptions — seven — as he did all of last season.

But it’s a measure of how much worse things have gone for Favre away from the field that he was only entertaining questions about his struggles on it.

On Monday, The Situation addressed the drug rumors on ABC’s “Nightline.”

“Oh never, never, never,” the reality star told “Nightline’s” Chris Connelly when asked if he’s ever taken steroids. “The steroid look is definitely a bulkier, bulkier look. I have a more thin, lean look. And I don’t judge. If somebody’s going to take steroids, that’s their prerogative and their body. I’m worried about taking care of myself, working out and taking my body to the best it could.”

Following Monday’s “DWTS,” where The Situation and partner Karina Smirnoff’s Argentine tango garnered the night’s lowest score, the reality star continued to addres the rumors with Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson.  (Read More).

These traits are so obvious they’re almost offensive, but these are the words and phrases that people from each group used the most in the profiles they wrote about themselves. I have SportsCenter on right now, and Tim Kurkjian said he was taking the Yankees in the ALCS because Cliff Lee won’t be able to go in Game 1.  This, despite the fact that (as he pointed out earlier in the segment) it doesn’t matter if Lee went in Game 1 or not, since he wasn’t going to start three games anyway.

It probably doesn’t really matter if Lee starts 1 and 5, 2 and 6, or 3 and 7.  Part of me, though, is glad that Lee is going 3 and 7, because if this comes down to a Game 7, I’ll feel a lot better with Cliff Lee on the mound.  (Read More).

Chillean miners look pretty good after all..How bad could it have been?….CAPRICORN ONE!  [Updated at 6:02 a.m. ET, 7:02 a.m. Chile time] Claudio Yanez’ girlfriend  kissed the mining minister as he arrived at the top of the rescue chamber, becoming the eighth miner to emerge after being underground for more than two months.

Wearing glasses to protect his eyes from the change in light, Yanez ran towards his loved ones and engaged in a long embrace with his wife. He then went to hug his two daughters, the youngest who was crying and rubbing her father’s back. He held his daughters as he went and thanked each rescuer one at a time.

Freaky Mexican Pirate story gets even weirder.  The lead Mexican investigator in the Falcon Lake case, Rolando Armando Flores Villegas, has been killed, his severed head delivered Tuesday in a suitcase to the Mexican military, officials told CNN.

“His head was delivered to the army garrison this morning in a suitcase after he failed to report back home last night,” Zapata County, Texas, Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzalez Jr. said.

A spokesman for the attorney general of Tamaulipas state in Mexico, Ruben Dario-Rios, confirmed the killing Tuesday afternoon in a telephone interview.

The report came a day after authorities in the Tamaulipas state attorney general’s office gave conflicting information on whether authorities were pursuing a pair of suspects in the case of David Michael Hartley’s disappearance.  (Read More).

The new policy was announced in a letter to the Pan-Hellenic Federation of People with Diabetes. The Federation disputes the science behind the decision of the Benefits Division. In a statement, the group argues that the decision is contrary to evidence as presented in the international scientific literature.

“He just started laughing and just walked away,” said 7-year-old victim Zack Montero.

It happened Sunday about 7:45 p.m. on Scottfield Drive in Newark. Police say three boys, ages 7 and 8, were riding their bikes in Hann Park when the teenager threatened Zack and forced him into a “Port-o-John.”

The teen pushed over the toilet onto the door, preventing the boy from escaping. The boy’s two friends were able to get him out. The boy, who suffered a knee injury and was covered in waste, went home and told his father.

“As a dad, immediately, I got very furious and all the thoughts of what I wanted to do about the situation went through my head were all illegal. So naturally I didn’t do that,” said Dave Montero, Zack’s dad.

The 14-year-old is charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault and harassment. He was released to his parents on $4,000 unsecured bail and ordered to have no contact with the young victim.  (Read More).
